Grand Prize for Innovation

GRAND PRIZE FOR INNOVATION

 

The purpose of the Hungarian Innovation Foundation, and, later, of the Hungarian Innovation Association is to give support to innovative work, promote the development of a favourable economic environment for innovation. The competition announced by the Board annually rewards the Hungarian individual entrepreneurs or companies registered in Hungary establishing any innovation of the greatest importance and bearing large gain in the year preceding the invitation to the competition. The president of the Hungarian Patent Office is in the jury.

Special Awards from the Hungarian Patent Office

2009

Electrolux Lehel Ltd.
The prize was awarded to the Electrolux Lehel Ltd. for Ultraone, the best vacuum cleaner and accessories ever constructed.

 

2008

Károly Róbert College, Rudolf Fleischmann Research Institute
The award was presented to the Rudolf Fleischmann Research Institute of the Károly Róbert College for its competition work entitled "Plant breeding of the autumn barley and its plant variety results"

EGI Contracting Engineering Co. Ltd.
The award was presented to EGI Contracting Engineering Co. Ltd. for its competition work entitled "Directing power plant waste gases into the Heller-Forgó cooling tower for the reduction of earth level air pollution"

This award was won by Paksi Atomerőmű Rt. for the innovation 'Reconstruction of the reactor-protecting system of Paksi Atomerőmű'.

This award was won by Burton Apta Tűzállóanyag Kft. for developing the family of burning aids of a so-called H-socket as well as the relevant product material and production technology.

This award was won by Kontavill Villamosszerelési Rt. for the Nexus electric household switch and outlet family.
