World Industrial Design Day 2013 in Budapest

In 2013 the Hungarian Design Council invited Tomek Rygalik, designer of international reputation to give a presentation in Design Terminal on the occasion of the World Industrial Design Day. In the framework of the program also serving as the preliminary event of Budapest Design Week, the Polish designer and teacher discussed, through his own work and projects led by him, how the designers of our time can redefine him/herself and find new forms of expression in an ever-changing world. The presentation was titled Alternative Design Strategies / design by Studio Rygalik.
On Saturday, June 29th Design Terminal welcomed design fans with further programs. An exhibition showcasing the works of Ondřej Janů Czech photographer accompanied with a workshop led by the young artist was opened, and the full-day program was completed with gastronomy specialties by Fruska. The day was closed with a party organised by DORKO where the company's shoes created by Hungarian designers were presented on the promenade in front of Design Terminal.
