DREAM! APPLY! WIN!

The 2018 edition of the Moholy-Nagy Design Grant has been announced for young designers who can apply till the 10th of April. The 6-month grant is a total of HUF 900,000, and can be awarded to graduates of the design field (holding an MA or MSc degree) who are under 35 and work in Hungary.

During the almost thirty years of the Moholy-Nagy Design Grant, over one hundred young, Hungarian designers have had the possibility for professional development and deploying their talents. The program enhanced by industry and manufacturing participation, and attracting the attention of the decision makers of the business sphere, offers real future possibilities for the grantees and their projects. It aims at promoting the professional development of talented young designers, contributing to the flourishing of Hungarian material and environmental culture and raising competitiveness of the Hungarian economy through the integration of design into innovation.

The projects can be either independently developed or designed in partnership with a manufacturer: Flying Objects joined the Grant’s long-time partners, Herend Porcelain Manufactory Plc., Maform and Nyír-Demonich Plc. this year.

The grant programme is announced and managed by the Office of the Hungarian Design Council, and financed by the Ministry of Human Capacities, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Plc., Nyír-Demonich Plc. and the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, financially coordinated by the Hungarian Artists Non-Profit Ltd.
