European Patent Office
It is the executive body of the European Patent Organisation. Its task is to implement procedures relating to the grant of European patents. It also acts as an International Searching Authority or as an International Preliminary Examining Authority in the case of international patent applications. Its units are working in Munich, The Hague, Berlin and Vienna.
