Simplified Trademark Filtering

The Simplified Trademark Filtering can be recommended to any applicant before filing a trademark application in order get an overview on the relevant signs under registration or protected as trademark. Such information will help you in the decision making whether to file a trademark application. This service may also be useful in the cases if you want to avoid the infringement of the rights of others arising from trademark protection with the use of a sign (e.g. while looking for a new company name or domain) or if you want to gather information in order to protect your own rights. The Simplified Trademark Filtering is conducted by the staff of the Client Services Unit of the Hungarian Patent Office according to the practice of many years.

Please take note that the Simplified Trademark Filtering is for information purposes only, and it does not affect any trade mark registration or other proceedings pursuant to Act XI of 1997 and shall not be considered as an official action, official opinion or decision either.
