How to search?
The search is not case-sensitive.
Each search term should contain two alphanumeric characters at least.
The terms may contain special characters:
? : replaces any character anywhere
* : replaces an optional number of characters within one word
AND : logical and (with capital letters, space before and after)
The program searches with accents.
Information on the fields
Word mark, geographical indication |
Trademarks can be words, combination of words, figures, pictures, combination of colours, sound or light signals, two or three-dimensional forms and combinations thereof. In this field, word marks can be searched. In the case of trademarks consisting of several words, search is possible by each word. Geographical indication means the name of a region, locality or, in exceptional cases, a country which serves to designate a product originating therein the specific quality, reputation or other characteristics of which are due essentially to that geographical origin. |

In this field, data elements of name type can be searched by each word of the personal names and company names. |
Country of priority |
In the case of search by country, the appropriate name should be clicked. |
Nice codes and list of goods |
In the Nice classification there are 34 classes for goods and 11 for services. In addition, there is an alphabetical list of the goods and services, comprising some 11,000 items, 10,000 indications relate to goods and 1,000 to services. Applicants can choose from this list the terms that are the most characteristic of the goods or services in question in accordance with the classes. In this field, the two-digit classes can be searched from 01 to 45 on the one hand, and the words of the list characterising the goods and services on the other hand. Reference number of the application |
The format of reference numbers is MYYNNNNN, where M means the title of protection (mark), YY represents the last two digits of the year, NNNNN represents a five-digit serial number, padded with leading zeros, e.g. in the case of trademarks M9500587 and in the case of geographical indications G9700030. |
Registration number |
Six digits, the most recent ones begin with 139 thousand, e.g. 139648. |
